Matcha Ganache Cake
If you like matcha, this is your go to recipe. Matcha is really healthy for you with lots of anti- oxidants and is a good variation to the routine cakes.
I love the colours of green and brown paired here.
What you need:
1.5 cups flour
1.5 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1.5 tbsp matcha powder ( or more)
1/2 cup butter, room temperature
1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla essence
1/2 cup milk
Putting it all together:
1. Heat the oven to 180 C
2. Butter and line your cake tin with parchment paper
3.Combine the flour, baking powder, salt and matcha.
4. Beat the butter until soft. Add sugar and beat further till fluffy.
5. Add the eggs one at a time and combine. Add the vanilla.
6.Add the powder mix and milk alternatively and gently combine.
7. Pour batter in cake tin and bake for 25-30 mins until a toothpick inserted inside comes out clean. Allow to cool in the tin for at least 15 mins before taking out.
8. Decorate with chocolate ganache (recipes below) on top or slice the cake through the center and layer with some ganache in between.
Chocolate Ganache:
What you need:
200 gms dark chocolate, broken
200 gms cream ( Amul)
2 tbsp salted butter
Putting it together:
1. Heat the chocolate and cream over a double boiler till melted and combined.
2. Add the butter
3. Use as required.
