Strawberry & Wine Sauce

Fruits and wine are a match made in heaven. I love making a quick sauce with fresh fruits and wine- really simple but so delicious and fancy. You can use any berries- fresh or frozen.

I like to serve this sauce warm with my quick no churn vanilla ice-cream or a moist chocolate cake.

Use it chilled as a topping on my lime cheesecake or VANILLA PANNA COTTA.

What you need:

2 cups strawberries, each cut in 4

1-2 tbsp sugar , adjust to taste

½ cup white wine

1 cinnamon stick

Putting it together

1. In a saucepan, add the strawberries, sugar, cinnamon and wine and cook till the berries are soft and all ingredients combined. Add a couple of tablespoons of water if required.

2. Discard cinnamon and use as required
